pie The Herald, Friday, September 1 7, 1982 I Kaiser, Harmon wedding Pamela Kay Kaiser became the bride of Scot Alan Harmon Saturday, Aug. 14, in a double ring ceremony at the English Christian Church. The Rev. Bob Kelley officiated at the 2 p.m. rites.

Boston ferns, peach and blue bows and lilies-of-the-valley decorated the church. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kaiser of Eckerty and Mr. and Mr.

Hubert Harmon of Birdseye are parents of the couple. The bride wore a polyester lace and sheer polyester organza over acetate taffeta gown. Lace appliques accented the gown, which had beaded trim on the Queen Anne neckline, a slightly raised waistline and bishop sleeves. A chapel-length veil of lace and nylon was held by a cap of beads and pearls. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, carried peach and blue carnations and roses accented with angel lace and snapdragons.

Matron of honor for her sister was Mary McLain of English. Best man was Doug Harmon, Birdseye, brother of the bride- groom. Other attendants for the couple were Norma Flick, Iowa Park, Texas, and Ruth Rathgeber, Wichita Falls, Texas, sisters of the bride; Terry Harmon, Birds-eye, brother of the bridegroom; and John Kaiser, Eckerty, Joan M. Glyn and Betty J. Meyer of Pale announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sherry Elaine Glyn, to Edward Joseph Gogel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo J. Gogel of Marian Hill.

The bride-elect is a 1981 graduate of Heritage Hills High School. Mr. Gogel, a 1980 graduate of Heritage Hills High School, is employed at 3 Mar Inc. The couple will be united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct.

16, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dale. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Schmitt of Newburgh announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Joan Marie, to Frank J.

Fischer son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Fischer of Huntingburg. The bride-elect is a graduate of Castle High School and North Main Beauty Academy.

Mr. Fischer is a graduate of Southridge High School and Indiana Vocational Technical Institute Southwest. He is an employee of Comco Inc. at Blooming-ton. The couple will be united in marriage at 3 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 2, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. Mr. and Mrs.

Joseph Thyen of Huntingburg announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Lisa, to Dave Durcholz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Durcholz of Ireland. The bride-elect is a 1982 graduate of Southridge High School. Mr.

Durcholz is a 1978 graduate of Jasper High School and is employed by Jasper Corporation. The couple will be united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Huntingburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Scot A. Harmon brother of the bride. Ushers were Darrell Kaiser, Freetown, brother of the bride, and Douglas McLain, English, nephew of the bride.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Christina Leonard of Waterford, cousin of the bride, and Paul Kaiser of Eckerty, nephew of the bride. The bride's attendants wore long peach polyester gowns with sheer nylon capes. They wore combs with peach roses and angel lace in their hair and carried flowers similar to the bride's. Mrs. Kaiser chose a navy blue street-length dress with a floral jacket for her daughter's wed ding.

Mrs. Harmon wore a brown and tan street-length skirt and jacket. Susan Haverstock was organist for the ceremony. She accompanied David McLain as he sang "Endless Love," "Hawaiian Wedding Song," "The Wedding Song" and "One Hand, One Heart." A reception was held in the church fellowship hall, with Candy Staten registering guests. After a short wedding trip, the couple is at home in Eckerty.

The bride attended Crawford County High School and is employed by Wabash Tape Corp. in Paoli. Mr. Harmon, who attended Forest Park High School, is employed by Farbest Foods, Huntingburg. Library aids blind The Library of Congress carries a special service for the blind by training volunteers for braille transcription and proofreading and for tape narration.

Dubois County Mental Health Association will meet at 7 30 p.m. at of Home, Jasper. Dubois County Sportsmen Against Poaching will meet at 7:30 p.m.

at American Legion Home in Jasper. Dr. J.P. Salb will have program on first aid and safety in the field. bus will leave at 9 a.m.
